Can I change my POP email
account to an email alias?

Yes. You can change at any time.

Your Sphynx Site web hosting account comes with either an email account on our POP (post office protocol) server or an email alias in your chosen user name.

If you chose the name "homesite" for your userid, your email address on sphynx would be homesite@sphynx.com. If you don't want to have to check another email account, or if you have just an online account instead of full Internet access, you might want to use your sphynx email address as an alias. That way, all mail directed to homesite@sphynx.com would be rerouted to your mailbox on AOL, CompuServe, etc., or to your email address at your Internet Service Provider.

Unless you indicate otherwise when you order your site, we configure your email account as a POP account. To have it reconfigured as an alias, send a note to support@sphynx.com. There is no charge for the first change. If you want to change back or change the redirect address, there is a one-time charge of $5.
